Do (do-h) Chair by Reynold Rodriguez
Reynold Rodriguez may not be a household name the way of Philippe Starck but he sure has a lot of talent under his sleve. The Do (do-h) Chair (what a name) is simply a fantastic piece of urban literature. Available in wood, and bloody red, its simply perfect forĀ all your wine bar furniture needs.
Imagine…..
An unmarked door on a quiet street. You might never notice it unless you’ve been invited in by a select host of gentlemen who are the creme-de-la-creme of society. The kind of people who are richer then Bill Gates but are unknown because they want it that way, the kind who can put into power or overthrow governments in a heartbeat.
You knock quietly 3 times, and the doorman in a tuxedo steps out to invite you in and take your coat. Walking down the long passage way on the blood red carpet, you can sense the quiet clamor of voices in the distance as the movers and shakers of society converse and make their next move. Ever calculating, ever watchful.
The bar counter is a deep dark black somehow blacker then the deepest night. Simon, the bartender sees you and immediatly moves to get your favourite drink, a glass of Chateau de orient, distilled from a mix of rose petals and virgin’s tears and stirred with a feather from an angel, to drink of it was to experience heaven it is said.
And you settle down, onto the comfortable Do (do-h) chairs lining the bar for a quiet drink.
