 So crazy nice that I just feel the Urge to get it. Thats the Columbian Coffee table for you. Designed and manufactured by VonHideki the table is nothing less than a work of art. Nothing less than the best would do for their creation and sentry glass and Corian was melded together into the Columbian. In their own words, Corian is “ an advanced composite of natural materials and pure acrylic polymers. It offers superior design possibilities and excellent long term performance.” Distill it down to a word and I think they were trying to say, It Rocks.

Designer : Aviad Gil

For the outdoor bistro tablewith a difference, get the Indestructible Table by Aviad Gil. Constructed from a heady mix of violence, the blue tinted “ bulletproof glass of a volvo car, Ak-47 shots , epoxy, ink , and iron” as part of his “Conflict Collection” , this seems to be a social commentary on the state of affairs going on in the world nowadays.

Superimposed into the design is Aviad Gil’s own take on war but how it is interpreted is left entirely to the user. Influenced perhaps by his personal experiences in the ongoing Palestinian-Israeli conflict. This is surely a work of art , a statement if you will rather then just an ordinary outdoor bistro table.

At the very forefront of the Uber coolness frontier is the Eshu by designer Roger Sveian. When it’s won the “Sofa of the Year 2003 ” award by Elle Interior, you know it’s got it made. The undeniable elegance of this piece has got it featured in among others, Miami Vice , the movie, one heck of a cool show. Slam bang thank you mam. The Eshu transcends its status as just a sofa, it has reached the state where it is regarded as art even. It was proudly accepted for display in the National Museum for Decorative Arts (Norway) the year it was showcased.
